AIDS (R)evolution evening
On Tuesday March 28, the Imagesante Festival will be screening the film “(R)evolution Sida”, out of competition.
Frédéric Chaudier, director of “(R)evolution SIDA”, takes an uncompromising look at what this disease has caused and is still inflicting, from South Africa to China, from Russia to Thailand.
Artists, politicians, researchers and witnesses draw a chilling picture of the political and social dysfunctions in the management of this pandemic: injustices in access to care, discrimination, lack of real political will, all of which contribute to its spread.
The screening will be followed by a meeting with director Frédéric Chaudier, Thierry Martin from Plateforme Prévention Sida, Simon Englebert from asbl Sida-Sol and Gilles Darcis, infectiologist (CHU Liège), who will discuss “Despite scientific advances, AIDS is still very much with us. Let’s talk about it and lift the taboos”.
