Stand up to the headache! - Festival Imagésanté

Stand up to the headache!

Migraine is that nagging headache that disrupts daily life for a few hours or more. When it occurs too frequently, it’s called a chronic migraine. Chronic migraines are diagnosed when the number of headache days exceeds 15 per month, including 8 with a form of headache meeting migraine criteria.

This chronic neurological disease affects around 2% of the population and is due to abnormal neuronal excitability, linked to complex genetic factors associated with environmental factors. It is a real invisible handicap and the2nd most impacting pathology in terms of quality of life.

On this program, we’ll introduce you to :

  • The causes and mechanisms of migraine,
  • its precipitating and triggering factors,
  • its impact on quality of life,
  • its various treatments,
  • testimonials from patients suffering from or cured of this pathology

You will also discover a new neurostimulation device, currently under development by Man&Science, to reduce the pain and frequency of severe headaches in patients suffering from facial vascular angina.
