Synopsis

Veterans make up just 2% of the American population, but they bear almost the entire physical and psychological burden of recent wars - a decade of trauma and injury.
Joe, Torrie, Mike, James and Justin are young veterans who served in Afghanistan or Iraq after September 11, 2001. They recount their experiences of war and the process of adapting to civilian life back home.
The film combines interviews with visually unique observations of everyday life in the USA to make the complex tension between war and civilian life emotionally tangible for the audience.
