Synopsis

World-renowned photographer Lene Marie Fossen suffers from anorexia. She stopped eating at the age of ten. Seeking to explore the taboo of illness from her own experience, her art is naked and sincere. "Self Portrait" is the sketch of this adventure and struggle, fought from day to day. "If all you had to do was snap your finger and start eating again." In October 2019, Lene Marie died aged just 33. She was able to discover the film with her parents, in the hope that it would be distributed worldwide.
