Synopsis
Christine is an enigma. Éric Caravaca's older sister Christine, who died at the age of three, is the missing face of the family. Always repressed by her parents, left on Moroccan soil since she died in 1963... To understand the reasons for this silence, the actor-director investigates, questions his family, and awakens a painful, long-buried past.
"Carré 35 is a place that has never been named in my family; it's where my older sister, who died when I was three, is buried. I was told little or nothing about her, and curiously, my parents had never kept a photograph of her. It was to fill this image gap that I undertook this film. Believing that I was simply unravelling the thread of a forgotten life, I opened a back door to an experience I didn't know I had, to the unconscious memory that lies within each of us and makes us who we are."
A powerful film about denial and mourning, which questions relationships, memory and truth...
