Frédéric Chaudier - Festival Imagésanté

Frédéric Chaudier

He has been directing since 1990, starting out by shooting a number of music videos. To date, he has made almost 100 films, ranging from corporate films to documentaries and commercials. Short films, collaborations on numerous films, making-of features, portraits of cinema greats, advertising films, feature-length documentaries, including his latest, “(R)Evolution SIDA” – a feature-length documentary that takes an uncompromising look at what this disease has caused and still inflicts, from South Africa to China, from Russia to Thailand, highlighting the injustices in access to care, discrimination against minorities and, above all, the lack of any real political will, all of which tragically contribute to the spread of the virus. Unfortunately, this film is all the more topical today with the new Trump administration and the upheavals in the world. He has just completed “Nordey, Citoyen Théâtre”, a feature-length documentary retracing the career of contemporary theater director Stanislas Nordey, and is currently shooting his latest documentary, “Quartier de lumière”, a film about a working-class neighborhood 25 kilometers south of Paris, Grigny, a town designated as the poorest in mainland France.

Alongside his work as a documentary filmmaker, he developed and co-produced four fiction series and his first feature film.
