Fanny Pluymers was born in Liège in 1990. After graduating with a Master’s degree in Performing Arts from the University of Liège in 2013, she worked until 2018 as a production manager with the association Vidéographies, for whom she produced 20 television programs devoted to video art. Since 2019, she has been head of LICAM (Laboratoire d’Information et Communication Audiovisuelle et Multimédia) at the University of Liège, where she is responsible for the supervision and artistic direction of the creative documentaries produced in the workshops of Belgian directors Karima Saïdi and Christophe Hermans.

Alongside her institutional career, she continues to work as a cinematographer for the Liège-based Katari Films collective (notably on Au Creux du Monde and Champ Libre) and as a freelance photographer. Her latest photographic series, NE PAS PARTIR, is her first work to be published in an international magazine, Captures.
