Fabien Spailier

Trained as a geographer, Fabien Spailier has followed a varied career path, combining science, the environment, culture and education. He began his career as an animator-coordinator at the Spa Cultural Center, where he developed projects to promote heritage, continuing education and cultural dissemination on a local scale.

Fascinated by the transmission of knowledge, he then turned to teaching and became a professor of Geography. His commitment to education led to a position as a lecturer in Geography, reinforcing his role in the training of future teachers.
He then became more involved in environmental issues, contributing to local policies on ecological transition and sustainable resource management.

Building on this experience, he took over the management of Domaine de Bérinzenne asbl in 2024.

The Domaine de Bérinzenne, at the entrance to the Fagne de Malchamps in the commune of Spa, is renowned for its walks and panoramic tower in an exceptional natural setting. It houses the Musée de la Forêt et des Eaux, as well as Spa’s Centre Régionale d’Initiation à l’Environnement (CRIE).
