Elvio FISLER

Head of the Center for Competence in Accessibility and Assistance Tools, cellCIPS, in Switzerland.

My interest in computers “dates back”… since 1990, when (as a specialist teacher) I was already integrating this tool into my classroom as a supplementary means (I was also able to obtain MacSEs for colleagues in our building). I then worked with the Fondation de Verdeil – a special education establishment – to set up an educational IT network in all the schools in the institution. From 2000 to June 2018, I took on the role of IT delegate.

Since 2007, I have been in charge of the cellCIPS – cellule cantonale de Coordination en informatique pédagogique spécialisée – at the Office de l’Enseignement Spécialisé du Canton de Vaud (OES – SESAF). I was able to collaborate on the PRessMITIC training program in our canton.

Today, cellCIPS is also a Center of Competence for Digital Education, a tool for assistance and accessibility, recognized at both the French-speaking and Swiss-speaking levels.

I’ve always sought to emphasize the sharing of skills and the valorization of existing practices. Working on multi-disciplinary projects that encourage exchanges between regular and specialized schools are points that are particularly close to my heart.
