Synopsis

Fat Front is the story of young Scandinavian women who have had enough of self-hatred and shame, and have now decided to take charge of their bodies. Working to improve their self-confidence, they demand respect and recognition in a society obsessed with thinness. For too long, they have been restricted by this dictate. Waiting to buy clothes, waiting to go dancing and to find love, waiting for the day when they'd be slim. The day didn't come. But they found each other in the "body positive" movement. Now they unleash their curves and shifting hips, and use their bodies as a tool for activism. With its provocative feminist tone and artistic approach to the body's natural beauty, this film will change the way we look at them. It's a film about shame and conquest, but it's also a warm-hearted adventure with some energetic young women.
