Bernard Bellefroid
Born in 1978 in Liège, Bernard Bellefroid studied directing at the Institut national supérieur des arts du spectacle (INSAS) in Brussels. A laureate of the Belgian Vocation Foundation in 2003, he also won the Grand Prix de la Communauté française “Fureur de Lire” for his literary short story “Ibuka Muzungu souvienstoi, le prédateur blanc”. This was published in a collective collection by Éditions Luce Wilquin.
He has directed two critically acclaimed feature films that have been screened at numerous festivals: “La régate”, starring Sergi López and David Murgia, and “Mélody”, about the delicate issue of surrogate pregnancy.
