AMAZON BODY Due to a cancer, Annick had to submit mastectomy. She has decided to stay “asymmetric”. To brake the tabu she organizes a project of exposition around the topic “amazone body”. By the games, looks and glimpse, by the work of plastic artists and photographers, the film questions this reappropriation of the body and interrogates the vision of a woman and of the female beauty.

Women deliver to us their felt face of breast cancer and face of the treatment, and we follow others during medical consultations and examens.

A red dragon on the water line. On board, twenty women. Twenty warriors.  From 29 to 60 years, from all walks of life, they rowed with all their strength. A repetitive gesture, a common trance. And when the twenty paddles all sink in water, a same power of life, a same cry against the evil they fight : cancer. These women call themselves the dragon ladies. This term was born in 1996, in Canada, when a few women, survivor of this disease, put on rowing canoes adorned of a dragon head, the dragon boats. In 2009, the first French team of Dragon Ladies started in Reims.
